Rotteparallele is an elegant musical duo that combines the warm sounds of jazz with the depth and poetry of songwriting.
It was born from the convergence of thoughts of Giorgio Abrate and Gianni Martina, both lovers of jazz and of the narrative and poetic dimension of songwriting, but with the desire to make these genres approachable even to non-experts.
The duo's repertoire includes pieces from the jazz repertoire, especially sang, and original compositions by the two musicians.
In 2024 with the Song QB, taken from the album Un Albero da Amare by Giorgio Abrate, they participated in the festival "La canzone che verrà" organized at the Teatro del Navile in Bologna and were awarded for the best lyrics and the best live performance.

Gianni Martina
After a long period of self-taught studies, he studied jazz bass and double bass with Dino Contenti and Giorgio Fiorini. He has been collaborating for several years in the Turin jazz scene with many bands including the Big Band Dimensione Musica where he has had the opportunity to meet important national and international musicians. In addition, he collaborates with the quintet led by guitarist Lino Pastore and is part of the jazz duo Martinengo-Martina with pianist Gianluca Martinengo.
He teaches electric bass privately.m dolor sit amet
Giorgio Abrate
Organic singer-songwriter. This term well represents his belief that it is important to support the music played by real people. Avoiding tricks and technological expedients, which cancel the human vibe.
In 2024 he published an 11-song album: Un albero da Amare. The new album expected for the end of 2026 will be entitled Di quanti Azzurri può essere il cielo.
His songs are the pages of a diary that he has never been able to write in a systematic and structured way, so they deal with very diversified themes. But the message that recurs most is the need to overcome the "distances" we create among us. We create them with the paranoic pursuit of performance, efficiency and speed. But also, by taking refuge in the pneumatic void of the bubble that we have built around ourselves with the help of digital technology.lor sit amet
